CRANSTON, R.I. (WJAR) — Applebee’s announced it will be opening its new Cranston location at Chapel View later this month.

According to officials, this new location will replace the Garden City Center location that was lost in a large fire in 2024.

The new location will open its doors on April 20, officials said.

The restaurant’s hours will be 11 a.m. to midnight on Sundays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Officials said the Chapel View location will hire 90 people.

“After more than 35 years serving the Cranston community, reopening this location is incredibly meaningful for our team,” said Eleanor Clancy, market president of Flynn Applebee’s New England South. “While the loss of our previous restaurant was difficult, we’re proud to return with a brand new space at Chapel View. Beyond welcoming back our loyal guests and meeting new ones, we look forward to continuing our tradition of giving back—supporting local neighborhoods through fundraisers and community partnerships, and delivering the great food and hospitality our community knows and loves.”
