City and state officials were invited by a developer Tuesday to tour a new office building in Cranston.
The Building 2000 office space at Chapel View is now fully occupied. The six-story office building is next to the shops and restaurants.
Jewelry maker Alex and Ani says it's tripling the size of its corporate headquarters at Chapel View. The company already has a retail store at the center, which will be connected to a new tea and java shop.
Bonefish Grill, a national restaurant chain, is planning to open by Christmas.
Carpionato Properties said the office construction at Chapel View is creating about 100 jobs.
When the project is finished, the center will employ about 700 people in full- and part-time positions.
